Admission Procedure for Bachelor's Studies and Follow-Up Master's Studies

The Faculty of Nuclear Sciences and Physical Engineering of the Czech Technical University in Prague announces the admission procedure for the Academic Year 2026-2027. Applications for admission to Bachelor Programmes and the Follow-up Master Programmes are accepted no later than June 30, 2026.

For admission to the Bachelor Programmes, the entrance examination will be waived. This admission procedure is governed by:

Applicants must provide an examination certificate proving language competence at a minimum level of CEFR B2.
The following language certificates are accepted:

  • Cambridge English Language Certificate – Level B2 (e.g. FCE)
  • ELTS – Degree 5,5 or higher
  • TOEFL – Level B2
  • City & Guilds International ESOL – Level B2
  • TELC English B2

Applicants from Russia or Belarus applying for a non-critical study programme will be admitted after submitting the required documents (recognition of previous education and a Czech Language Certificate) and successfully passing the entrance examination. If an applicant from Russia or Belarus is applying for admission to a critical study programme, in accordance with Rector's Order No.5/2022, he/she must submit a Request for Exemption and a Motivation Letter. The request will be assessed individually by the Dean of the Faculty. The printed and signed Motivation Letter and Exemption Request shall be delivered to the Study Office of FNSPE. The request will be processed only after all documents required for admission have been submitted.

How to apply for ADMISSION TO Bachelor's PROGRAMMES

  1. Read the Dean's Directive carefully. There you can find all the rules, contact details, and key deadlines you need to follow.

  2. Choose a programme from the offer.

  3. Fill out the online application at prihlaska.cvut.cz. (In case your grades do not correspond to the Czech grading system and there is no conversion table available, enter the number 1 for all averages and final grades.)

  4. Pay the admission fee (i.e. 950 Kč). If you have a Czech bank account, send the payment  and attach the following information:
    Account Number: 19-5373100277/0100
    Constant Symbol: 379 
    Variable Symbol: 77777 
    Specific Symbol: application form code
    If you don't have a Czech bank account, use the following international payment information:

  5. After payment of the tuition fee, your application will be registered.
  6. Graduates from the Czech Republic and Slovak Republic shall submit an officially certified copy of their School-leaving Certificate.

    Foreign students must provide a Certificate of Equivalence or Nostrification of their foreign education (information about internal nostrification at CTU)

    The documents must be submitted by the deadline stated in the Dean’s Directive (in person or by uploading the electronic conversion of the document as an attachment to your online application). Without these documents, you cannot be admitted or invited to enrol. Send them by post to the following address: ČVUT FJFI, Study Office, Břehová 7, 115 19 Prague 1

  7. Foreign students must also provide an examination certificate proving their language competence at a minimum level of SERR B2 (in person or by submitting it through the web application).

  8. After successfully submitting all the required application documents, you will receive the Letter of Admission. (If you need a Letter of Admission with an original signature, please contact Mrs. Kuchyňková.)

  9. Once you receive the Letter of Admission, you are officially admitted as a student and can prepare for enrolment and the start of your studies. Information about the dates of enrolment and the start of studies will be provided in an attachment to your online application form after you have been admitted.

  2. Choose a study programme from the offer.
  3. Fill out the online application at prihlaska.cvut.cz.

  6. Submit an officially certified copy of your Bachelor’s Degree Diploma (refers to graduates from the Czech Republic and Slovakia). 

    Foreign students must provide a Certificate of Equivalence or Nostrification of their foreign Bachelor education (information about internal nostrification at CTU).

    The documents must be submitted by the deadline stated in the Dean’s Directive (in person or by uploading the electronic conversion of the document as an attachment to the  online application). Without these documents, you cannot be admitted or invited to enrol. Send them by post to the following address: ČVUT FJFI, Study Office, Břehová 7, 115 19 Prague 1

  7. Foreign students must also provide an Examination Certificate proving the language competence at a minimum level of SERR B2 (in person or by submitting it through the web application). 

  8. For the Nuclear Engineering – Nuclear Reactors Study Programme, the following additional documents are required: Curriculum Vitae, a Video-presentation, list of courses passed. You can find the details in the Dean's Order)

  9. After successfully passing the entrance examination and submitting all the required application documents, you will receive a Letter of Admission. (If you need a letter of admission with an original signature, please contact Mrs. Kuchyňková.)

  10. Once you receive the Letter of Admission, you are officially admitted as a student and can prepare for enrolment and the start of your studies. Information about the dates of enrolment and the start of studies will be provided in an attachment to your online application form after you have been admitted.
