Scientists from Europe, the US, China, Japan and other countries will gather in Prague this September for ECLIM 2026, a conference dedicated to high-power lasers and their interaction with matter. They will discuss, for example, how lasers can accelerate particles, create extreme conditions similar to those found inside stars, and achieve inertial fusion ignition using lasers.
The conference is jointly organized by CTU, ELI ERIC and the Institute of Physics of the Czech Academy of Sciences and is expected to welcome around 130 participants.
