The current terms of office of the department heads expire on 31 May 2026. Therefore, the Dean of the Faculty, Associate Professor Václav Čuba, announced an open selection procedure to fill these positions. A total of 15 candidates applied, representing all departments of FNSPE. Personal interviews with the candidates took place on 22 May 2026.
The selection committee, consisting of the Vice-Deans, the Chair of the Academic Senate of the Faculty, and distinguished external scientists, recommended to the Dean the appointment of those candidates who received the highest scores in a secret ballot.
