On 13 May 2026, Ing. Jakub Sochor, Chair of the Election Committee for the Ombudsperson elections held from 5 to 7 May 2026, announced that the election results could not be published within the three working days required by the relevant Dean’s Directive. The reason was the discovery of discrepancies between the number of voters and the number of ballots recorded in the voting application. Although this discrepancy did not affect the outcome of the election, it could potentially have served as grounds for a complaint and for questioning the legitimacy of previous, current, and future elections.
The results were officially published on 18 May 2026.
