Enrollment in Higher Years of Study (Bachelor’s and Master’s Programmes)

Student registration in the KOS system takes place from August 1, 2026, to September 20, 2026.

Enrollment Procedure via the KOS System:

Enrollment for the semester is considered complete and valid once the student registers for courses in the KOS system and the Study Office finalizes the enrollment.

  • Students should check the KOS system to verify that they have earned the required number of credits for the previous academic year and have successfully completed all required courses taken for a second time. If these academic requirements have been met, students may proceed with registration for the following academic year.
  • Students must independently add courses to KOS for the winter semester only, in accordance with the current study plan for their degree program; see the instructions for independent registration in KOS below.
  • After verifying the registered courses, students should send an email to their Study Office Administrator, who will finalize the registration in KOS.
  • Once registration is closed, students cannot make changes to their course selection for that semester on their own. Further changes can only be made via email addressed to the Study Office Administrator or in person at the Study Office.
  • You must verify your personal information in the KOS system. You can update your contact address and bank account number yourself; all other changes must be reported to the Study Office.

If a student does not register for the semester in the KOS system as described above, they will not be enrolled for the next academic year and their studies will be terminated.

Changes to enrollment can be made from September 21, 2026, through October 9, 2026, and must be submitted via email to the Study Office Administrator or in person at the Study Office.

Please note:

  • To enrol for the next academic year, students must meet the prescribed conditions (see Study Regulations, Article 3; Study and Examination Regulations, Article 14).
  • If a student has not obtained the number of credits required to continue their studies, they cannot be enrolled for the next semester and their studies will therefore be terminated.
  • A student’s studies will be automatically terminated if they have not enrolled for the semester by the specified deadline.
  • Courses from the previous academic year which a student has not successfully completed may be re-enrolled in. Each course may be re-enrolled in a maximum of two times.
  • Exams registered for the 2025–2026 academic year may be taken after enrolment, but no later than 20 September 2026.
  • Students may print out their confirmation of study for the following academic year themselves from the KOS system, or collect it from the Study Office once enrolment has closed.

Key requirements for progression to the 2026–2027 academic year:

  • Achievement of at least 30 credits in the previous academic year, provided that this was the first year of a Bachelor’s degree programme.
Achieving a minimum of 40 credits in the previous academic year, if it was a higher year of a Bachelor’s degree programme or any year of a Master’s degree programme, and successfully completing all compulsory modules taken for the second time.
