MAFIA Seminar: František Štampach (FJFI ČVUT) - On Lieb-Thirring inequalities for complex Jacobi matrices
We would like to invite you to the next MAFIA Seminar. The guest will be Andreas Fring (City, University of London) with a lecture "Goldstone's Theorem and Higgs Mechanism in Non-Abelian Non-Hermitian Quantum Field Theories". The seminar takes place on Tuesday March 3rd, 2020 in room T112 (FNSPE Trojanova 13, Prague 2) and it starts at 13.15.
Abstract:
First part of the seminar will be devoted to a brief summary of the state of the art of Lieb-Thirring-type inequalities for Jacobi operators. In the second part, we answer two open questions raised by Hansmann and Katriel in 2011 that concern differences in these kind of inequalities when passing from self-adjoint to general possibly non-self-adjoint setting. The second part of the talk is based on a joint work with Sabine Boeogli (Durham University).
