Quantum Machine Vision

This project in collaboration with the University of Oxford considers optical processing of image before it is recorded by the camera to optimize extraction of useful information. The goal is to perform the measurement at the single photon level with as few single photon as possible. This concept has strong parallels with optical computing but doing it at the single photon level allows to apply quantum techniques to process the image. Our group is providing single photon detection capabilities and will play a major role in the data analysis.
