Quantum Walks

Anotace

A quantum walk describes the coherent propagation of a quantum particle on a discrete graph or network. Various models of quantum walks have applications e.g. in quantum computing (search algorithms), communication (information transfer between network nodes), or in the description of quantum transport. Specific bachelor's thesis topics may focus e.g on the role of local measurement and its use for studying recurrence (return to the starting point of the walk), investigating graph isomorphism based on their transport properties, or multiparticle effects (quantum entanglement dynamics, influence on quantum transport).
