Anotace

Description: The quantum walk has emerged as a powerful tools in quantum information. Its applications range from quantum simulation of physical phenomena, to quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning. While simple in definition, quantum walks are versatile, yet attractive for physical implementation in many systems, including quantum computers. Projects related to the study of quantum walks using quantum computers, and to the application of quantum walks in NISQ algorithms are available.

The goal of the project and the specific tasks will be formulated based on discussions with the interested students. Please contact me directly for further details.

Expected skills and knowledge: Solid mathematical background and uderstanding of quantum mechanics. Familiarity with quantum programming tools such as Qiskit is an advantage.

Language: The working language will be English. The preferred language for thesis is English, although Czech is also possible.
