Academic positions at the Department of Solid State Engineering

Selection procedure of the Faculty of Nuclear and Physical Engineering, CTU in Prague for two academic positions at the Department of Solid State Engineering.

The Dean of the FNSPE, CTU in Prague announces, pursuant to Section 77 of Act No. 111/1998 Sb. on Higher Education and on Amendments and Supplements to Other Acts (Act on Higher Education), as amended, the selection procedure for two academic positions of the type Assitant Professor in the Department of Solid State Engineering, in the Laboratory of Applied Photonics and Quantum Technologies (1 position), and Laboratory of Materials Modelling (1 position).

For the above positions we require:

• Ph.D. in Physical Sciences,
• at least 5 years of working experience in the related field (research, development, industry),
• publication activity in the related fields of Physics, focus on Solid State Physics, Physical and Material Engineering is an advantage,
• knowledge of Czech and English language,
• university teaching experience necessary.

Expected job description:

• Teaching courses within the study programmes Physical Engineering and Solid State Engineering accredited in Czech and English,
• supervision of qualification theses of students of bachelor, master, optionally doctoral studies.
• supporting the research and publication activities of the department.
