Night at Jaderka

Night at Jaderka is an evening cultural and educational event organized by the Student Union at the Faculty of Nuclear and Physical Engineering of the Czech Technical University in Prague for students and faculty staff, their friends and acquaintances, and last but not least, for the general public and companies cooperating with the faculty. The event is already quite traditional, with this year marking its eleventh edition. As we are a scientific faculty, Night at Jaderka will feature popular educational lectures by prominent scientists, students, and faculty staff. Various entertaining experiments will be set up throughout the school. Throughout the evening, concerts by smaller (mostly student) bands such as Hill Valley and Rotace rotace will take place in the study room. Although it may seem that this is an event more suited to those involved in the natural sciences, this is not the case. With this event, we would like to show both faculty members and those outside the faculty that our school is not just about learning, but also about having fun. We are able to appeal in an interesting and original way not only to students and professionals in the field, but also to those who may not know much about science. Of course, our main goal is for all participants to have a good time, spend a pleasant evening with their friends, classmates, and colleagues, and learn a lot.

Celebration of the 70th anniversary of FNSPE

For 70 years, our faculty has been educating experts not only for the nuclear industry. Since its beginnings, it has broadened its field of activity to other areas and has made a significant contribution to the development of technical and natural sciences both in the Czech Republic and worldwide. To mark this occasion, a special meeting of the Scientific Council and the Collegium will be held in the Bethlehem Chapel, followed by a programme at Břehová Street and, in the evening, A Night at Jaderka. All staff and students are warmly invited.
