The departments form the basic organisational units of the faculty. Their mission is to guarantee the content of study programmes and to foster research activities. At present, the faculty has ten departments, including the Department of Humanities and Languages. Each department is headed by a Department Head, who is typically a distinguished figure in the respective field.
