The Development Department manages all agendas concerning the development of the faculty’s technical and methodical functioning, construction and legislation. The department falls under the Vice-Dean for Development’s competency.

Department competencies by order of the Dean:

  • preparing the CTU Generel,
  • managing the CTU career regulations agenda and implementing the HR AWARD,
  • coordinating preparations and implementations of development projects from all providers, as well as structural fond projects and other EU programmes,
  • coordinating the development and renewals of faculty's teaching, and science and research equipment, implementing modern technologies,
  • securing all services concerning development, construction and reconstruction of faculty buildings, expert supervision over construction activities, preparing and continually updating the investment activities and building maintenance,
  • drafting regulations issued by the Dean or Vice-Deans concerning the construction and reconstruction of faculty buildings, legislation, development and faculty organisation, monitoring compliance with existing regulations,
  • drafting regulations and updates for basic faculty legislation - the Statute and Organisational Rules, FNSPE and CTU Strategy, Rules of Procedure of the Academic Senate and the Scientific Board, Election Rules of the Academic Senate,
  • preparing materials for the faculty’s position on draft legislation of the Czech Republic within the legislative process,
  • creating methodical approaches for faculty activities, creating conditions for effective information sharing between the Dean’s Office departments, faculty departments and other specialised departments, arranging environment modification for increasing faculty employee work effectivity (facility management),
  • planning faculty department placing, facilitating capital repairs and monitoring coinciding construction work, securing FNSPE room preparations for their intended purposes (in cooperation with the Facility Management Department),
  • providing support for technological scouting, commercialising research results, cooperating with the InQBay CTU incubator and transferring technologies, spin-off and licence sales (in cooperation with the Science and Research Department),
  • coordinating FNSPE with the CTU Central Library, supporting the detached CTU Library department at FNSPE,
  • cooperating with corresponding CTU Rectorate departments in all the above mentioned competencies.
