Basic information about studying

The Faculty of Nuclear Sciences and Physical Engineering in Prague offers high-quality academic Bachelor's and Master's programmes taught in English. Teaching is delivered through lectures, seminars, practical exercises, professional internships and individual consultations. Studies end with a state final exam and successful defence of a bachelor's, master's, or doctoral thesis.

At FNSPE, scientific research is an integral part of all disciplines, ensuring a strong connection between research and teaching. Students are actively involved in research projects and are prepared for scientific work in multidisciplinary and culturally diverse teams. Many student projects address real-world challenges in cooperation with leading companies (such as IBM, ČEZ, ČNB, and IKEM) or international research centres (including CERN, BNL, ELI, and ITER).

Students have the opportunity to gain international experience through internships, exchange programs, or long-term study abroad with financial support from CTU or partner foundations. CTU participates in programs such as Erasmus+, Extatic, and Athens. In addition, students can also apply for scholarships offered by the Hlávka Foundation and various faculty-based projects at FNSPE.

The faculty also organizes lifelong learning for the public and professional training for scientific workers.
