On 8 December 2025 in lecture hall 103 (Břehová Street, 1st floor), the election of the candidate for Dean of the Faculty of Nuclear Sciences and Physical Engineering (FNSPE) for the term of office from 1 February 2026 to 31 January 2030 will take place. On-line audio-visual transmission will be available to all AC members.
You can also ask questions to the candidate online via email at volby [at] fjfi [dot] cvut [dot] cz (volby[at]fjfi[dot]cvut[dot]cz). Questions are NOT anonymous. Questions can be asked from 2:30 p.m. onwards.

From 14:30 until 20 minutes after the end of the discussion, members of the Academic Community of FNSPE will vote on the nominated candidates.

- the Academic Senate of FNSPE (AS) will meet to make a decision on the vote to elect the Dean
Election of the Dean and the Pre-election Assembly are subject to the Rules of Procedure of the Academic Senate of FNSPE, Art. 5. Voting of the Academic Community is understood to be a recommendation for the election of the Dean by the Academic Senate, which is to follow.

List of Registered Candidates
- doc. Ing. Václav Čuba, Ph.D.
Václav Čuba is a Czech nuclear chemist who works as a researcher and lecturer at the Department of Nuclear Chemistry. He completed his PhD in this field from the Czech Technical University in Prague in 2003 and was appointed Associate Professor in 2011. From 2014 he served as Vice-Dean, and since 2022 he has been the Dean of the Faculty of Nuclear Sciences and Physical Engineering at CTU in Prague.
His main areas of scientific interest include the study of the chemical effects of interactions between ionizing and UV radiation and matter, as well as the synthesis of luminescent materials. He is also actively involved in teaching — in addition to giving lectures and leading seminars, he has supervised numerous doctoral and master’s theses.
