Mobility Fund

The Mobility Fund provides financial support for stays abroad. Below you will find basic information on available funding, eligibility requirements and the application process.

FNSPE Mobility Fund

What types of activities can be funded?

  • invited lectures at international conferences (where funding from a project is not available)
  • research stays abroad for doctoral students (minimum duration of one month)
  • other trips abroad with a demonstrable and duly justified benefit to the Faculty

Conditions

  • Funding from the Mobility Fund may cover up to 50% of the total costs, with a maximum contribution of CZK 40,000 per activity.
  • Only one application per person may be submitted per calendar year.

Application requirements

The application must include:

  • applicant’s full name
  • city and country of stay
  • purpose of the trip, including a brief justification
  • planned period of stay (from–to)
  • estimated total costs of the stay
  • amount of funding requested from the Mobility Fund

Application procedure

  • The application must be submitted by the Head of Department by email to tomas [dot] hobza [at] fjfi [dot] cvut [dot] cz (tomas[dot]hobza[at]fjfi[dot]cvut[dot]cz).
  • Applications for the first round will be accepted until 7 September 2026.
  • The applications will then be evaluated by a committee.
  • The committee will recommend the amount of funding to be awarded to the Dean.
  • Applicants will be informed of the outcome.

CTU RECTORATE FUNDS

Doctoral students travelling abroad for study or research purposes may apply for financial support.

FJFI Students

What types of funding can students apply for?

  • scholarships for students travelling abroad for study (double/joint degree programmes) or for other activities in the interest of CTU; long-term scholarships (the second year of a Master’s degree programme within a double/joint degree programme); one-off scholarships (international academic and sports competitions and conferences – funding for travel and accommodation)
  • scholarships for CTU students studying at universities abroad (Erasmus)
  • scholarships for international students enrolled in Master’s degree programmes
  • scholarships for international students enrolled in doctoral degree programmes
  • financial support for doctoral students travelling abroad for study or research purposes; the one-off scholarship may cover up to 50% of the total costs, with a maximum amount of CZK 40,000; the Faculty must contribute at least the same amount towards the costs as the amount provided by the CTU fund

Application procedure

  • The student completes the application form available on the website linked above.
  • The student signs the application and obtains the signature of the Head of Department.
  • The application must then be submitted (the original is also required) to the Vice-Dean for International Relations.
  • The Vice-Dean for Academic Affairs or, where appropriate, the Vice-Dean for International Relations will provide their statement on the application.
  • The application will then be forwarded to the CTU Rectorate.

 

FJFI Staff

What types of funding can staff apply for?

  • support for visits by guest professors, lecturers and distinguished experts
  • support for mobility of academic staff, including early-career teaching staff (e.g. teaching stays, lectures or participation in organisational activities related to the preparation of courses and study programmes)
  • support for mobility of non-academic staff (e.g. participation in conferences and fairs, training courses and workshops)
  • the programme does not provide support for mobility related to research or scientific activities that are funded by grants or other sources, or that constitute a profit-making activity

Conditions

  • Stays of university-wide importance may be funded up to 100%.
  • Stays primarily benefiting a department, faculty, institute or similar unit may be funded up to 50%.

  • The information should be sent to the Head of the International Relations Department at Oleg [dot] Fetisov [at] cvut [dot] cz (Oleg[dot]Fetisov[at]cvut[dot]cz), with the Vice-Dean for International Relations copied on the email, or sent directly to the Vice-Dean.
