Do you have an idea for improving the environment at CTU, reducing resource consumption, or supporting sustainable development? Join the Microgrants for Sustainability call and receive funding of up to CZK 50,000 to implement your project. Applications can be submitted until 13 June 2026.
What types of projects are eligible for support?
- Energy, water, fuel, and single-use plastic conservation
- Improving drinking water quality (pipe replacement, water treatment)
- Local energy production
- Reducing CO2 emissions caused by transportation or other activities
- Reuse, recycling, and support for waste separation
- Well-being of CTU students and staff, living and working environment on CTU premises
- Biodiversity
- Neighborhood activities
- Preparation of projects for the above-mentioned activities (e.g., Česká spořitelna – We Can Do More, SFŽP, coalitions with partners
Who can apply?
Projects implemented between 1 January 2026 and 15 November 2026 are eligible for the competition.

Grant Committee: Appointed by the Vice-Rector for Quality and Human Resources; the Chair of the CTU Academic Senate is invited to nominate one member.
Final project report
is a prerequisite for the payment of scholarships and bonuses. A brief report (preferably with photographic documentation) will be published on the CTU website. The report may be submitted at any time, but no later than November 15, 2026. The Grant Committee may comment on the report and propose additions or revisions. Based on the final version of the report, the committee will decide on the full or partial payment of scholarships/awards

Demonstration of the impact of dual-flush toilets: demonstration water meters connected to single- and dual-flush toilets linked to a visualization display.

Hunt for standby power consumption (searching for appliances and devices that are always on and could be turned off)

Coordinate and monitor waste volume following repeated submissions of term papers—a dire situation at the Faculty of Architecture—everything sorted yet still ending up in mixed-waste containers—audits, inspections, and penalties

Landscaping of green spaces, installation of benches and other outdoor furniture, including play elements and equipment to support students’ physical activities (and faculty)
